*To get the fans up-to-date; Rehab now consists of Danny Boone (vocals), Mike Hartnett (guitar), Foz (guitar), Hano Leathers (bass), Chris Hood (drums) & Demun Jones (vocals). Original member Brooks Buford has embarked on a solo career on So So Def records. He released a European only album titled "Straight Outta Rehab" in 2003 and is currently working on his new album & an MTV series. Rehab is currently touring and promoting the release of their new album due in stores mid-July.

First off, I'd like to thank Danny, Liz & Gary for taking to time to do this interview. The fans of Rehab have spoken and here's their most inquisitive questions.

Q: How did you form the new band? Did you approach Mike, Foz, Hano & Chris or did they find you? Give us a little background on the band. Is Demun Jones a new addition to the band?

A: I got a friend to put out a call and they were the guys that showed up....some of the most talented guys in the southeast! All of the guys have been in the music biz to some extent for years and we were lucky. Demun's album will be put out separately but we do work closely together; currently, he is our hype man.

Q: What other artists have you been working with lately? The Brew - "99 Bottles", Kwan Tha Don - "CaddyLacks", Bonecrusher - "This Town" & Demun Jones - "Can't Remember" are ones I 've heard. Anyone planned for the new album? I read somewhere that you did a track with Big Hoss. Is that true?

A: Demun Jones will be on a song on the new album. No, we haven't worked with Big Hoss, but I would be down.

Q: Who is Jaime? You, Brooks & Steaknife all did versions of the song. She musta really left an impression on all 3 of you.

A: Jamie is based on a girl Steaknife knew- at least my version is...

Q: Where do the songs "Chico & The Man", "I Like To Cuss", "That's Love", "Followed You To Work" & the full version of "My Addition" come from? Were they outtakes from an album or on an EP?

A: Chico and the Man- didn't make Southern Discomfort
I LIke to Cuss- we couldn't clear the sample to include it on Southern Discomfort.
That's Love- I didn't want on the album because I have a daughter and I regret I ever participated but Brooks decided that it should be put on the internet.
Followed You to Work- is off the very first album with me, Steaknife and Brooks before we were signed- called To Whom It May Consume
full version of My Addiction- I can't remember.

Q: What hobbies do you have on your off time? Fishing, reading, knitting?

A: Drinking beer and pondering.

Q: What city is your most favorite to play & hang in?

A: Honolulu.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Your sound & lyrics have matured over the last 2 years. What lessons have you learned being in the industry that you would like to pass on to the newbs?

A: Hard to visualize ten years from now....music still!
lessons for newbs- Be patient but not too patient
Be careful but not too careful
Be trusting but not too trusting
Know what your agenda is!

Q: What's your biggest addiction? How have your addictions changed your life?

A: My biggest addiction is to oxygen....it allowed me to breathe as I've gone down the slide of life.

Q: What's your relationship with Brooks like nowadays? Are you guys still in contact?

A: I have tried to call him a couple of times but I haven't heard back.

Q: Where does your inspiration come from? Personal experience & wisdom go hand in hand. What % do you think helped you most in life?

A: Things I see, hear and feel inspire me the most. Personal experience-100% and I ain't gonna call myself wise.

Q: If you weren't doin' music, what would be your next destiny?

A: If destiny is destiny...I only have one. Who knows if it is music or just a portion of it.

Q: How does your family & friends feel about your career & success?

A: They've had it up to their eyeballs with the whole damn thing.

Q: On "This Town" you say 'Linda Mae gave me the name'. Who is that? Who in your life has influenced you & your musical direction?

A: Linda May is my aunt who gave me the name Danny Boone while I was watching Daniel Boone on TV when I was a kid.
Family, Steaknife, Johnny Cash, Brooks and Warner Robins have all influenced my musical direction.

Q: What's your most embarrasing moment ever on stage? Ever puked on the audience or passed out while performing? Have you ever had fans throw weed onstage? or stick joints in your pockets? hahaha....

A: I haven't really had any but I get embarrassed watching film of myself on stage.
No, I haven't ever puked or passed out on stage and yes, I have had fans throw weed on stage and stick joints in my pants...thank you.

Q: Your lyrics to "Burt Reynolds" reflect a good ol boy, southern style. Who was your childhood southern hero?

A: My granddad Ralph Perkins was my childhood hero.

A: Yeah, BUMP- our own label.
The album is dope and should be in stores mid-July. We still aren't sure exactly what we are going to call it.

A: Yes, we have distribution through Red Eye.

A: Rick Rubin, Nas, Stevie Nicks, Billy Joel, Axl Rose

Biggest musical influences; I have been influenced by so many things and people, it is really difficult to pinpoint and I am into all genres of music.

Q: Do you have any plans to use, redo, or release any of the tracks from To Whom It May Consume or Cuzwecan?

A: As of now, no but I do refer back to old songs if I can use parts of them in new songs.
